Producer Adrian Grant has announced that I’m Every Woman – The Chaka Khan Musical will transfer to Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre for a limited season from 22 July to 27 September 2026.
The production will star multi-platinum recording artist and award-winning actress Alexandra Burke as Chaka Khan, with a press night scheduled for 4 August 2026.
The musical premiered earlier this year, playing performances at Hackney Empire, Belgrade Theatre Coventry and Congress Theatre Eastbourne.
Further casting for the London run will be announced in due course.
Chaka Khan said “This musical is more than my story. It’s every woman’s story. It’s about finding your voice, owning your truth, and rising through everything life throws at you. I’m honored to see my journey brought to the stage with such heart, strength, and authenticity.”
I’m Every Woman – The Chaka Khan Musical tells the life story of the award-winning, multi-platinum global superstar, revealing the woman behind the icon and charting her rise to stardom.
The new musical features a book by Nia T. Hill, direction by Racky Plews, music supervision by Mark Crossland, choreography by Ebony Clarke, casting by Debbie O’Brien, production management by Toby P Darvill and general management by Emily Obasohan.
The production explores Chaka Khan’s impact on music and culture, her passion for civil rights, her experiences within the music industry and the pressures of fame, alongside her journey through love, loss and resilience.
The score includes many of Chaka Khan’s best-loved songs as both a solo artist and as lead singer of Rufus, including I Feel For You, Tell Me Something Good, Ain’t Nobody, Sweet Thing, Higher Love and Through the Fire.
