Jermyn Street Theatre has announced its Autumn 2025 season, promising a bold mix of world premieres, classic revivals, and innovative new formats.

The season opens with a major revival of Cascando by Samuel Beckett, reimagined as a site-specific immersive experience through the streets of St James’s. The production is directed by Gavin Quinn, Artistic Director of Pan Pan.

Next, playwright Katherine Moar returns to the venue with the world premiere of Ragdoll, inspired by the trial of Patty Hearst. Directed by Josh Seymour, the play follows Moar’s acclaimed debut Farm Hall, which later transferred to the West End.

Guildford Shakespeare Company continues its collaboration with Jermyn Street Theatre with a new staging of Charles Dickens’ David Copperfield, directed by Abigail Pickard Price.

The season also features a series of one-night-only performances under the One Night Wonders banner. Highlights include It’s All Greek, starring Olivier Award-winner Siân Phillips and BAFTA-nominated Robert Powell, alongside Beowulf, Macready! Dickens’ Theatrical Friend, and Haunted Shadows: The Gothic Tales of Edith Nesbit.

A standout addition is The Archive Speaks, an audio theatre project co-produced with the Kenya International Theatre Festival. It will present six original short dramas exploring Kenya’s colonial past.

The theatre continues its commitment to nurturing new talent through its partnerships with the Women in Theatre Lab and the Foreign Affairs Theatre Translator Mentorship (FATT). The latter will culminate in a public showcase at the venue.

Artistic Director Stella Powell-Jones and Co-Artistic Director and Executive Producer David Doyle said,

“Our upcoming season brings together a thrilling mix of returning collaborators and vital new voices. World premieres and fresh takes on classics speak directly to the passions and curiosities of today’s audiences.

Samuel Beckett, long a deep well of inspiration at this theatre, returns transformed in Gavin Quinn’s marvellous reimagining. We’re also delighted to welcome back major new talent Katherine Moar with her latest play following her astonishing debut, and Guildford Shakespeare Company reveal fresh surprises in a literary classic.

Our beloved One Night Wonders series returns, with standout performances from Siân Phillips and Robert Powell promising unforgettable evenings here.

Nurturing writers is a shared passion. We’re proud to champion the next generation through our partnerships with the Women in Theatre Lab and the Foreign Affairs Theatre Translator Mentorship. Brilliant writing underpins everything we do. This autumn, we can’t wait to share these extraordinary stories within the unparalleled intimacy and immediacy of our home.”
