Christmas arrives early in the West End as Elf The Musical returns for a strictly limited 10-week season at the Aldwych Theatre, running from 28 October 2025 to 3 January 2026.

Joel Montague will lead the cast as Buddy, alongside Carrie Hope Fletcher as Jovie and Aled Jones MBE as Walter Hobbs. The trio will be joined by a full company of West End talent in this festive favourite.

Joel Montague’s extensive stage credits include Hamilton, Waitress, Chicago, Falsettos, and Guys and Dolls. His screen work includes ITV’s Girlfriends.

Carrie Hope Fletcher is currently touring as Calamity Jane. Her previous roles include Cinderella, Les Misérables, Heathers, and The Addams Family. She is a four-time WhatsOnStage Award winner and a GRAMMY nominee for her work on Cinderella and Les Misérables: The Staged Concert. Carrie is also a bestselling author and solo recording artist.

Aled Jones MBE has sold over 10 million albums and is a familiar face on Songs of Praise. He began his career with “Walking in the Air” and has since become a beloved TV and radio presenter.

Joining the lead cast are Rosanna Hyland as Emily Hobbs, Martyn Ellis as Santa/Mr Greenway, Lucinda Lawrence as Deb, and Dermot Canavan as Store Manager. The ensemble includes Mollie Cleere, Farirayi Garaba, Sophie Pourret, Lucy Rice, Biancha Szynal, Kyle Cox, Zack Guest, Ryan Jupp, Dominic Lamb, and Danny Nattrass. Swings include Sophie Camble, Amy Punter, Samuel John Humphreys, and Michael Tyler.

The role of Michael Hobbs will be shared by Ayrton English, Max Garlick, Harry Georgiou, and Samuel Sturge.

Based on the beloved 2003 film starring Will Ferrell, Elf The Musical features a book by Tony Award-winners Thomas Meehan and Bob Martin, with songs by Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin.

Elf The Musical tells the story of Buddy, a human raised as an elf at the North Pole. When he discovers his true identity, he travels to New York City to find his father and spread Christmas cheer. The show is packed with heart, humour, and holiday magic.

Following sold-out runs at the Dominion Theatre and a record-breaking Broadway season, this production features a brand-new set adapted for the Aldwych Theatre by Tim Goodchild. Direction is by Philip Wm. McKinley, choreography by Liam Steel, lighting by Patrick Woodroffe, sound by Gareth Owen, video by Ian William Galloway, and casting by Grindrod Burton Casting.
