Faulty Towers The Dining Experience has announced that chef Jonathan Bradley has taken on the role of Head Chef at the President Hotel in London, marking a new culinary chapter for the celebrated immersive production.
The show continues its record-breaking run in the capital, with bookings currently available until December 2026. Bradley’s appointment brings a renewed focus on elevated British cooking, seasonal ingredients and precise timing to complement the production’s famously chaotic tableside comedy.
Guests attending the experience can expect a refreshed three-course set menu served in tandem with two hours of interactive performance from the actors playing Basil, Sybil and Manuel. The dining service is carefully choreographed to ensure each dish aligns with key moments in the unfolding storyline.
The updated menu includes tomato soup with basil oil, roast chicken with gravy and vegetables, a vegan sweet potato and courgette timbale, and a lemon and berries cheesecake with chantilly cream and compote.
Bradley joins with extensive experience in restaurants, hotels and private dining, including time in kitchens influenced by Gordon Ramsay. He has cooked for high-profile guests such as Will Smith and Patrick Swayze, and now serves as Executive Head Chef at the President Hotel.
Producer Jared Harford said, “Our audiences come for the comedy, but the dining experience is fundamental to the success of the night. Jonathan brings fantastic experience from restaurants, hotels and private dining — including working in kitchens influenced by Gordon Ramsay — so he’s clearly used to high standards and strong personalities. Which means he should be perfectly prepared for Basil Fawlty!”
Chef Jonathan Bradley added, “What attracted me to the role was the combination of food and theatre. As chefs we’re used to creating experiences through flavour and presentation, but this show takes it a step further — guests aren’t just coming for dinner, they’re part of the performance.
The biggest difference from a traditional restaurant is timing. Every course has to land at exactly the right moment in the story, so the chefs, front-of-house team and actors all work together to make the food part of the entertainment.”
Since debuting in 2008, Faulty Towers The Dining Experience has toured 43 countries and welcomed more than a million guests. The London production has enjoyed a series of milestones, including its first West End residency in 2012 and its move to the President Hotel in 2022.
Bradley is already looking ahead to menu developments over the next year and is exploring ideas for a special celebratory menu for the show’s milestone anniversary in 2027.
