This weekend, at Windsor Fringe, the overall winner of the Kenneth Branagh Award For New Drama Writing will be announced. 257 scripts from 17 countries were submitted and judged blind, the three winners will have their plays performed on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening, when the overall winner will be announced by 2017 judges, Sophie Ivatts and Rob Cowan.
Kenneth Branagh said “I am delighted to sponsor this writing award and to be a small part of the Windsor Fringe initiative that supports new writers. Without a good play or script, the best actors and directors in the world cannot hope to produce good work and I welcome the encouragement that this award offers to writers both local and international”
