The American premiere of KENREX will open this spring at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, following celebrated sold out engagements in London.
Producers Aria Entertainment, Seaview, and TRW Production announced the New York run, which begins previews on Wednesday 15 April, ahead of an opening night on Sunday 26 April.
Co‑written and performed by Jack Holden, with Ed Stambollouian directing, the production features an original live score by John Patrick Elliott.
Based on an astonishing true story, KENREX explores the thin line between justice served and justice taken, with Holden performing 35 characters against a high‑octane soundscape.
“As much as UK audiences have responded to this play, at its core this is a deeply American story,” said Jack Holden and Ed Stambollouian. “We are thrilled for this chance to present it to American audiences.”
The production arrives in New York following acclaimed runs at Southwark Playhouse Borough, Sheffield Theatre, and The Other Palace.
Design for KENREX includes set and costumes by Anisha Fields, lighting and video by Joshua Pharo, sound design by Giles Thomas, and movement direction by Sarah Golding.
Tickets are available via TodayTix from Thursday 29 January at 10am ET, with general on‑sale from Friday 30 January at kenrextheplay.com.
