Producers ROYO and Curve have announced that West End star Tosh Wanogho-Maud will take over the role of Lola in the European leg and additional UK dates of the Kinky Boots tour.

Wanogho-Maud will step into the iconic heels from 28 October 2025, bringing his charisma and powerhouse vocals to the Olivier, Tony and Grammy Award-winning musical.

The actor began his career in Whistle Down the Wind and The Lion King, and is currently starring as The Iceberg in Titanique at the Criterion Theatre.

His extensive theatre credits include Oklahoma! in Concert, Batboy in Concert, Ain’t Too Proud, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Drifters Girl, Dreamgirls, and The Book of Mormon.

On screen, he has appeared in Jingle Jangle (Apple TV+), Bridgerton (Netflix), and Roadkill (BBC).

The production has enjoyed a sold-out UK and Ireland tour and will transfer to the London Coliseum in March 2026, starring Johannes Radebe as Lola.

The musical tells the story of Charlie Price, who inherits his family’s failing shoe factory and finds unexpected inspiration in Lola, a drag queen with a flair for fabulous footwear.

The creative team includes choreographer Leah Hill, designer Robert Jones, musical supervisor George Dyer, lighting designer Ben Cracknell, sound designer Adam Fisher, and wig designers Campbell Young Associates.

Kinky Boots is produced by ROYO and Curve, and presented by arrangement with Music Theatre International.
