JAS Theatricals, ATG Productions and Gavin Kalin Productions have announced the world premiere stage adaptation of Single White Female, set to tour the UK and Ireland from January to June 2026.
The psychological thriller, based on the iconic 1992 Columbia Pictures film and the bestselling novel by John Lutz, will star acclaimed actor and singer Kym Marsh, known for her roles in Coronation Street, Waterloo Road, and Abigail’s Party.
Adapted for the stage by author and journalist Rebecca Reid, this bold new version reimagines the chilling story for the digital age, exploring themes of obsession, ambition, and identity in a world dominated by social media.
The tour opens on 9 January 2026 at Theatre Royal Brighton, with further dates across major cities including Manchester, Cardiff, York, and Glasgow. Tickets are on sale now at selected venues.
Kym Marsh said:
“I am so excited to be bringing this brilliant, brand new and thrilling play to theatres across England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. I remember being totally gripped by the movie when I first saw it in the cinema and could never have imagined back then that I’d be starring in the world premiere of its life on stage. Get ready to be thrilled, shocked and entertained and watch out for those stiletto heels!”
The production is directed by Gordon Greenberg (Guys & Dolls, The Baker’s Wife, Heart of Rock and Roll) and produced by the team behind the hit stage adaptation of The Girl on the Train.
Single White Female follows Allie, a recently divorced mother launching a tech start-up, who takes in a lodger to help make ends meet. But as her new housemate Hedy becomes increasingly entangled in her life, the boundaries between friendship and obsession begin to blur.
The creative team includes designer Morgan Large, lighting designer Jason Taylor, and sound designer Max Pappenheim.
