Layton Williams has announced a brand-new UK tour for 2027 with LAYTON LIVE, a theatrical evening of music, dance and storytelling reflecting on his acclaimed career across stage and screen.

The tour will run from 23 February to 4 April 2027, visiting more than 20 towns and cities across the UK before concluding with a London performance at the Adelphi Theatre on 4 April 2027.

Created to mark the upcoming 20th anniversary of Williams’ professional stage debut, LAYTON LIVE will take audiences on a journey through some of the productions and projects that have defined his career, including Billy Elliot, Titanique, Cabaret, Hairspray, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Bad Education and Strictly Come Dancing.

Backed by a company of performers, the show promises behind-the-scenes stories, live vocals, choreography and a celebration of the roles and moments that have established Williams as one of the UK’s leading musical theatre stars.

Born in Bury, Greater Manchester, Williams began his professional career at just 12 years old when he took on the title role in Billy Elliot in the West End. He has since built an extensive career across theatre, television and film.

On screen, audiences will know him from Bad Education, Strictly Come Dancing, I Hate Suzie, I Kissed A Boy, The Cleaner, Benidorm and Beautiful People.

Williams is also director of Pros From The Shows, which provides performing arts experiences for young people through its Slay Clubs programme, and is a prominent advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community.

His career accolades include three Black British Theatre Awards, a WhatsOnStage Award, the Olivier Award for Titanique in the West End and a Tony Award nomination for the musical’s Broadway transfer. Before embarking on the tour, he will appear as King Herod in Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre’s production of Jesus Christ Superstar.

LAYTON LIVE is described as a celebration of two decades of one of Britain’s most dynamic entertainers, combining musical theatre favourites with the humour, honesty and charisma that have made Williams a favourite with audiences nationwide.
