Lazarus Theatre Announce Timothy Blore as New Lead for Edward II

Timothy Blore cast in Edward II

Lazarus Theatre Company have announced that Timothy Blore will make his Lazarus debut as the title role in Marlowe’s epic gay play, Edward II.  Previous credits include: Captain Crewe/Carisford, A Little Princess, Steffi Nancy Walker, Theatre N16. Young Robert/Cellist, Earthquakes in London, Rikki Beadle Blair, New Diorama Theatre. First Soldier, Salomé dir. Izzie Price, Theatre N16. Ben, Breathing Corpses, Nick Edwards, Barons Court Theatre.

Returning to the company Alicia Charles plays the role of Queen Isabella. Making his Lazarus debut Oseloka Obi plays the role of Gaveston. Jamie O’Neill also returns to the company as Mortimer. Alex Zur and John Slade take on the roles of Kent and Warwick respectively.

Stephen Emery returns to the company to play Lancaster, while John Hogg plays Canterbury.

       

The King is dead. His son, Edward II, is crowned King. His first act: to call home from banishment his lover, Gaveston.

Edward II is at Greenwich Theatre 16th – 27th January.
