Les Dennis, Sandra Marvin and Evelyn Hoskins join cast of Waitress UK and Ireland tour

Carrie Hope Fletcher will be joined by further star casting when the musical opens at New Wimbledon Theatre from March 2026

WAITRESS. Les Dennis as Joe and Carrie Hope Fletcher as Jenna Photo Matt Crockett

Further casting has been announced for the UK and Ireland tour of the smash-hit romantic musical comedy Waitress.

Stage and screen star Les Dennis will play Joe, with Sandra Marvin as Becky and Evelyn Hoskins as Dawn, joining the previously announced Carrie Hope Fletcher as Jenna.

The new tour opens at New Wimbledon Theatre on Saturday 28 March 2026, with further casting to be announced.

       

Dennis is one of the UK’s best-known entertainers, with a theatre career including Only Fools and Horses The Musical, Hairspray, Spamalot and Chicago, alongside extensive television work.

Marvin and Hoskins both return to their roles, having previously appeared in Waitress in the West End and on tour, with Marvin’s credits also including & Juliet, Sister Act and Fat Ham, and Hoskins’ work spanning Spring Awakening, 42 Balloons and Something Rotten!.

Production Images Released for First UK and Ireland Tour of The Choir of Man

Waitress is based on the 2007 film written by Adrienne Shelly, with music and lyrics by Grammy Award winner Sara Bareilles and a book by Jessie Nelson.

The production is directed by Diane Paulus with choreography by Lorin Latarro, and is produced by Barry and Fran Weissler and David Ian for Crossroads Live.

The musical tells the story of Jenna, a gifted pie maker trapped in a loveless marriage, who finds hope through friendship and the possibility of a fresh start.
