Further casting has been revealed for the highly anticipated world premiere of Midsomer Murders: The Killings at Badger’s Drift, adapted and directed by Guy Unsworth.

Based on Caroline Graham’s novel and the iconic ITV series, the stage adaptation will open at Richmond Theatre on 24 October 2025, with a national press night on Thursday 30 October.

Joining the previously announced Daniel Casey as Inspector Tom Barnaby, the ensemble cast includes Nathalie Barclay, Chandrika Chevli, John Dougall, Julie Legrand, Rupert Sadler, Chris Agha and Rhîan Crowley-McLean. The actor portraying Sergeant Troy will be announced soon.

The production will tour across the UK through to May 2026, with new dates added in Cheltenham, Cardiff, Bromley, Darlington and Manchester.

The story begins when beloved spinster Emily Simpson is found dead in the idyllic village of Badger’s Drift. Her friend Lucy Bellringer suspects foul play, prompting DCI Barnaby and Sergeant Troy to investigate a web of secrets and rivalries.
