Following critically acclaimed, sold-out runs at Sheffield Theatres and Southwark Playhouse Borough, KENREX opens tonight at The Other Palace, running until 1 February 2026.

The true crime thriller, co-written and performed by Jack Holden, tells the unbelievable story of Ken Rex McElroy, a small-town bully whose reign of terror ends when his community takes justice into its own hands. The one-person show features a high-octane blend of vocals, sound effects, and song, accompanied on stage by award-winning composer John Patrick Elliott.

To celebrate opening night, a music video of ‘Dead End Road’ from the live Americana soundtrack has been released, performed by Holden and Elliott. The track is available to download now.

It has also been announced that Fabian Bevan joins the company as understudy for Jack Holden. His previous credits include Bang Gang (Riverside Studios), Yes We’re Related (The Other Palace), and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (UK Tour).

Directed by Ed Stambollouian, the creative team includes designer Anisha Fields, lighting and video designer Joshua Pharo, sound designer Giles Thomas, movement director Sarah Golding, and production manager James Anderton.
