The National Theatre has announced further casting details, performance dates and booking information for a number of productions in its 2026 programme.

Caryl Churchill’s landmark play Cloud 9 will return to the National Theatre for the first time since 2019. Dates have also been confirmed for Benedict Andrews’ new play Electra/Persona, featuring Cate Blanchett, Nina Hoss and Ella Lily Hyland. The world premiere will run in the Lyttelton Theatre from 19 August to 10 October 2026.

The National Theatre has also announced a one-week UK premiere run of Catarina and the Beauty of Killing Fascists by Tiago Rodrigues. The politically charged production will be performed in Portuguese with English surtitles in the Dorfman Theatre from 19 to 26 September 2026.
