Eric Kuhn Productions has announced the full cast and creative team for the UK première of Maia Novi’s semi-autobiographical play Invasive Species, following its critically acclaimed Off-Broadway run.
Directed by Pulitzer Prize finalist Michael Breslin, Invasive Species will see Novi reprise her lead role alongside Harrison Osterfield, best known for his breakout performance in Netflix’s The Irregulars. Joining them on stage are Ella Blackburn, Max Percy and Kalifa Taylor.
The darkly comic and moving play opens at King’s Head Theatre on 5 September 2025, with previews from 3 September, and runs until 3 October.
Invasive Species explores themes of immigration, identity politics and mental health through the lens of an Argentinean actor chasing the American dream. The play was lauded during its run at The Vineyard’s Dimson Theatre in New York, where it was named one of the best cultural works of the year by The Hollywood Reporter.

The production also welcomes new co-producers including SIX co-creator Lucy Moss, Salem Productions, John Voege, Amauta M. Firmino and María Inés Olmedo Projects. James Quaife serves as General Manager and Executive Producer.
The creative team includes Amauta M. Firmino as dramaturg, Damien Stanton as UK set designer and costume supervisor, Ben Jacobs as UK associate lighting designer, and Dominic Brennan as UK associate sound designer.
Invasive Species is a true story about lying to live, and living to lie. Maia will stop at nothing to be in the American movies—even if it means losing her mind.
