New Cast of Young Performers Announced for RSC’s Matilda The Musical at the Cambridge Theatre

Four new actors join the title role team as the hit West End production continues its record-breaking London run

The Royal Shakespeare Company has announced a new group of talented young performers joining the West End company of Matilda The Musical at the Cambridge Theatre.

Now in its fifteenth year, the production continues to be one of the West End’s longest‑running musicals and remains a favourite with audiences of all ages. The show is currently booking until January 2027.

Sithuni Gamage, Bonnie Harper and Carla Lopez‑Corpas will join Emilia Shefford in the title role of Matilda from 17 March 2026.

       

A further group of young performers will join the show in roles including Bruce, Lavender, Nigel and the rest of the pupils at Crunchem Hall. The newly announced cast members are Zoe Akinyosade, Oliver Alexandru, Felix Anderson, Mary Bassey Bassey, Amelie Bibani, Nathan Cooper, Alejandro García‑Pérez, Ryan Hayter, Sebastian Tay Hilas, Eira Kay, Esmaé Kevany, Ivy‑Rose Mann, Karin Narumi, Lucas Moy, Alexzander Neophytou, Jessica Rihanna Mocanu, Eden Rowe, Lucy Sheppard, Samuel Sturge and Henry Treharne.

They will join returning young cast members Sid Boyle, Kanaho Kurihara, Albie Lambert, Savannah McDowell and Mason Mingle.

Written by Dennis Kelly, with music and lyrics by Tim Minchin and direction by Matthew Warchus, Matilda The Musical has won 101 international awards, including 25 for Best Musical.
