New Diorama Theatre has unveiled its latest season—not of performances, but of pioneering artist support initiatives running from Autumn 2025 through Spring 2026.
This unique season reaffirms New Diorama’s commitment to nurturing the UK’s most innovative theatre makers. Known for championing devised, ensemble, and non-traditional theatre, the venue continues to be a launchpad for companies that go on to achieve national and international acclaim.
The Artist Support Season includes a new collaboration with Theatre Deli, offering free rehearsal space in the City of London. It also introduces Migrant Artist Solidarity Grants, a monthly £500 award to help migrant artists navigate visa and legal costs.
Head of Programme Emma Clark said:
“The work on our stages would not be possible without sustained, long-term, holistic support and infrastructure for artists. This season of artist support has been designed by and for theatre makers with the aim of offering a comprehensive set of resources that makes visible the often overlooked creative and practical challenges faced by companies and collaborative practitioners. Our doors are wide open for learning, experimentation, imagination, and community building – join us and tell us what you need.”
Among the season’s highlights are:
- Artist Surgeries: Monthly in-person advice sessions with NDT staff, hosted in the venue’s café.
- Company Formation Surgeries: Bespoke Zoom sessions with Finance Director Jo Salkilld, offering legal and financial guidance for emerging companies.
- Migrant Artist Solidarity Grants: Monthly lottery-based grants to support migrant artists with bureaucratic costs.
- Artist Community Newsletter: A new monthly newsletter offering priority access to surgeries, workshops, and exclusive events.
- NDT x Theatre Deli – The Allotment: A 12-week pilot programme offering free studio space for R&D, prioritising underrepresented artists.
- Workshop Programme: Monthly workshops led by award-winning companies including YESYESNONO, Dirty Hare, Ensemble Not Found, and ThisEgg.
This season runs alongside the previously announced live performance programme featuring Uprooted by Ephemeral Ensemble and Precipice by Timelapse.
