Cameron Mackintosh has announced three new principal cast members for Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera, following the musical’s recent 40th anniversary celebrations at His Majesty’s Theatre in London.
From 23 November 2026, Kimberly Blake will join the production as Carlotta, Kate Graham will play Madame Giry, and Luke Kempner will take on the role of Monsieur André.
They join a company led by Jordan Donica as the Phantom and Beatrice Penny-Touré as Christine Daaé, alongside Matt Bateman, Ian Pirie and Millie Lyon. Ashley Gilmour also returns to the production as Raoul, Vicomte de Chagny.
The casting news follows a gala performance held on 9 October 2026 to celebrate the show’s 40th anniversary at its original home, His Majesty’s Theatre.
The special event brought together current cast members and acclaimed performers from across the production’s four-decade history, including original stars Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman, who joined the company on stage for a celebratory curtain call.
One of the most successful musicals ever created, The Phantom of the Opera has played to more than 160 million people in 229 cities across 54 territories and 23 languages since its premiere in 1986.
The musical tells the story of Christine Daaé, a gifted young soprano who becomes the protégé of the mysterious Phantom, a masked musical genius living beneath the Paris Opera House. As Christine reconnects with her childhood sweetheart Raoul, a dramatic love triangle unfolds, fuelled by obsession, jealousy and passion.
Featuring a score by Andrew Lloyd Webber, the production includes some of musical theatre’s most celebrated songs, including The Music of the Night, All I Ask of You, Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again, Masquerade and the iconic title number.
The production recently extended booking at His Majesty’s Theatre and is now on sale through to October 2027.
