Reading Rep Theatre today announces the appointment of Nick Thompson as Executive Producer. He joins the company as they embark on a capital campaign to open a cultural arts hub as their first permanent home in Reading.

Nick Thompson said today, “Reading Rep is driven by a mission to create world-class theatre for an engaged and diverse audience in the UK. Under the leadership of Paul Stacey, Reading Rep has very quickly become synonymous with artistic integrity, meaningful political, social, and educational engagement and a leading player in the developing creative scene in Berkshire and beyond. These values made me jump at the chance to join them on this journey.”

Artistic Director of Reading Rep Theatre, Paul Stacey added, “I am absolutely thrilled that Nick will be joining the Reading Rep team. It stands as testament to the exciting developments in the company that we can attract such high calibre talent to the organisation. His producing acumen, organisational leadership and artistic integrity will ensure that Reading Rep continues to thrive as we move into our new home and cement a national reputation for our work.”

Reading Rep are currently in the midst of a capital campaign to open a new 158 seat theatre and cultural hub in Reading. More info here.
