Omnibus Theatre has unveiled its Christmas Cracker 2025 season, promising a vibrant mix of festive events and performances to warm up the winter months in Clapham.

Returning this year is Clapham Lights, the annual festive light switch-on featuring a magical flying bear and a soon-to-be-announced auction winner. The event takes place on The Polygon and includes a winter market, live jazz, rides, carol singing, and a glowing procession from Omnibus Theatre.

Families can enjoy Oldilocks and the Three Bears, presented by Garlic Theatre. This puppet-filled retelling of the classic tale stars a mischievous old lady and three breakfast-loving bears. Garlic Theatre “hold their young audience spellbound with lovingly crafted puppets, music and some steaming bowls of porridge.”

Lisa Gornick brings her one-woman show The Many Faces of Eve to the stage, inspired by the 1950 film All About Eve. Gornick reimagines the Hollywood classic through live drawing, music, and performance, creating what she calls “DIY cinema” with a feminist, punk-spirited twist.

Poet Michael Glover hosts Thirst, a festive evening of poetry, music, and theatre celebrating the launch of his new poetry collection. The event features performances from Morgan Hayes, Martyn Crucefix, Kate Paul, Paul Hodgson, and Jesse Dupre of Haste Theatre.

Review: The Highgate Vampire at Omnibus Theatre

Bag of Beard Theatre presents The Highgate Vampire, a dark comedy based on real events in 1970s London. Described as “what if The Woman in Black had been performed by The Mighty Boosh,” this ink-dark play promises horror, humour, and a shocking true story.

Georgie Jones shares her poetic reflections in And The World Spins Anyway, a heartfelt tribute to the chaos of modern life. Her work is praised for its “formidable stage presence and compelling way with words” (Reviews Hub).

Rounding off the season is Seven Steps Big Band at Christmas, a high-energy concert featuring everything from Latin salsa to pop and festive big band classics. Now in its 14th year, the ensemble includes standout musicians such as Sophie Burrows, James Mercer, Tom Green, Joe Bentley, and vocalists Beth Aggett and Ed Marshall.
