Original cast of The Book of Mormon to reunite at 79th Annual Tony Awards

Special performance celebrates 15th anniversary of hit Broadway musical at Radio City Music Hall

The original cast of The Book of Mormon will reunite for a special performance at the 79th Annual Tony Awards, it has been announced.

The landmark reunion will take place on Sunday 7 June at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, as part of Broadway’s biggest night.

Tony Award nominees Josh Gad, Andrew Rannells and Rory O’Malley will return alongside Tony Award winner Nikki M. James to celebrate the musical’s 15th anniversary on Broadway.

       

The performance will be introduced by Tony Award-winning creators Trey Parker, Matt Stone and Robert Lopez.

The ceremony will also feature performances from The Lost Boys, Schmigadoon!, Titaníque, Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York), CATS: The Jellicle Ball, Ragtime and Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show, with further appearances to be announced.

Review: Avenue Q at the Shaftesbury Theatre

Hosted by global music icon P!NK, the 79th Annual Tony Awards will broadcast live on CBS and stream on Paramount+ from 8pm ET on 7 June.

Ahead of the ceremony, Laura Benanti and Tituss Burgess will host The Tony Awards: Act One, a live pre-show featuring the presentation of the first awards of the evening.

Tickets for the event are currently on sale, with availability limited via official outlets.
