Othello to be streamed by Original Online

Original Online, presents the critically acclaimed version of Shakespeare’s Othello, a Sinéad Rushe Production presented by Trish Wadley Productions, which was recorded during its run at the Riverside Studios last Autumn. The Digital Premiere is on Friday 6 September at 5pm giving early access for Original Online members, both new and existing. It goes on general release (including rentals and gifted rentals) from Friday 27 September at 5pm.

This innovative new pared-down and energetic production of Othello, directed by Sinéad Rushe, sees Iago performed by an ensemble of three actors and features live music composed by Michael C. Fox.

Othello is at the peak of his success: in life, in war, and in love. Until he finds himself utterly betrayed by the person he has trusted most: ‘honest’ Iago.

Othello’s cast features Martins Imhangbe (Bridgerton) as Othello, Michael C. Fox (Downton Abbey), Orlando James (Shakespeare in Love) and Jeremy Neumark Jones (Macbeth) collectively as Iago, Rose Riley (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time) as Desdemona, Rachel Leah-Hosker (Shut Up, I’m Dreaming) as Emilia/Roderigo and Ryan O’Doherty (Loki) as Cassio/Brabantio.

The creative team is Director: Sinéad Rushe; Composer: Michael C. Fox; Set and Costume Designer: Natalie Pryce; Sound Design: Ali Taie; Lighting Design: Alex Lewer; Assistant Director: Vivek Sharma; Voice Coach: Shereen Ibrahim; Fight Director: Yarit Dor.
