Melting Pot has announced that the West End premiere of Paranormal Activity will extend its run at the Ambassadors Theatre through to Saturday 28 March 2026.

Performances begin on Saturday 5 December 2025, following a critically acclaimed, sold-out run at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre and ahead of its upcoming North American tour dates in Los Angeles, Washington DC, and San Francisco.

Written by Levi Holloway and directed by Felix Barrett, Paranormal Activity is a new theatrical story inspired by the iconic horror film franchise created by Oren Peli and brought to screen by Blumhouse and Solana Films.

Simon Friend, Producer at Melting Pot, said: “It is wonderful to see such excitement for our upcoming show, following hugely successful initial engagements in Leeds last year, and now Chicago as well this month. We can’t wait for West End audiences to experience the exceptional stagecraft from our dynamite creative team, in a show which has proven itself to be mysterious, macabre and enormously entertaining as well.”

James and Lou move from Chicago to London to escape their past, but they soon discover that places aren’t haunted—people are. Paranormal Activity reimagines the modern ghost story with an unsettling intimacy only theatre can provide.

The production has been praised for its inventive storytelling and terrifying atmosphere. The Chicago Tribune wrote: “Will I be scared? Yes. How scared? Very. Cleverly, too.”

Felix Barrett, founder and Artistic Director of Punchdrunk, brings his signature immersive style to the stage, while Levi Holloway’s script blends domestic horror with mind-bending theatricality.

The creative team includes Fly Davis (Set and Costume Design), Chris Fisher (Illusions), Anna Watson (Lighting Design), Gareth Fry (Sound Design), Luke Halls (Video Design), and casting by Stuart Burt CDG and Ginny Schiller CDG.

The original Paranormal Activity film, released in 2009 by Paramount Pictures, became a global sensation and launched a franchise spanning seven feature films. Now, its legacy of fear transitions to the stage in this chilling new adaptation.

Paranormal Activity is produced by Simon Friend & Hanna Osmolska for Melting Pot, in association with Gavin Kalin, Ken Davenport, Jenny King, Patrick Gracey, Jonathan & Rae Corr, and Leeds Playhouse.
