The 2014 production of Peter Pan, originally broadcast live and featuring Christopher Walken as Captain Hook, will be made available to UK audiences for free for 48 hours via Universal’s The Shows Must Go On YouTube channel.
Universal has confirmed that beloved musical productions will continue to run via the channel, with The Sound of Musical streaming after the initial Andrew Lloyd Webber series of shows. Subsequent streams have included Hairspray Live, featuring Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson and The Wiz Live. To date, millions of musical theatre fans around the globe have tuned in and donated hundreds of thousands of pounds to charity, whilst watching and singing-a-long at home.
Peter Pan Live was originally scheduled to stream from 5th June but was cancelled. It will now be available from Friday 19th June at 7.00pm BST to stream for free for 48 hours (everywhere apart from Asia and Latin America).
