Star of stage and screen Cush Jumbo (The Good Wife/Fight, Josephine and I, Common) will be hosting The Stage Debut Awards in association with Access Entertainment on Sunday 23 September, alongside further presenters; Adrian Lester OBE, Jodie Prenger, Ruthie Henshall, Mathew Horne, Michael Grandage, Preeya Kalidas, James Graham and Paule Constable.

Alongside exclusive performances by Anais Mitchell performing Why We Build A Wall from Hadestown and Miriam-Teak Lee performing I’m Here from The Color Purple.

Cush Jumbo said “I’m thrilled to be hosting the second The Stage Debut Awards this year. I’m very passionate about the continuing need to support emerging talent and champion our rising stars whether they be actors, directors, writers or designers. These awards celebrate new voices in a huge way.”

The Stage Debut Awards celebrate the very best breakthrough talent in theatre, from actors and directors to designers, writers, composers and lyricists, all of whom have made their professional debuts in the past year. These awards are the first of their kind to recognise outstanding emerging theatre talent.
