A decline. A death. A truth universally acknowledged. A woman unhinged. Maggie is just your average neurotic, trying to make her way through life one box-step at a time.

The Sadness Shuffle is both exactly what it says on the tin and also not at all what it says on the tin. In essence, it’s zumba for the clinically unstable. Maggie is a 100% fully functioning woman with absolutely no flaws! And she will be your shuffle instructor today. Get ready to change your life through dance, and shuffle away from those underlying issues.

The Sadness Shuffle is a new one-woman surrealist dark comedy, written & performed by Jess Durand and directed by Molly Leigh-Moy.

The Sadness Shuffle is at Etcetera Theatre 21st – 22nd March 2020.
