Producer Brian Fenty has announced the principal cast for the 75th anniversary UK tour of Agatha Christie’s iconic thriller The Mousetrap, the world’s longest-running play.

The major tour will open at The Alexandra in Birmingham on 3 September 2026 before travelling across the UK and Ireland through to 2027, visiting more than 25 venues.

Joining the company are Emily Laing as Mollie Ralston, Jack Hardwick as Giles Ralston, Thomas Barrett as Christopher Wren, Clare Duffy as Miss Casewell, James Peake as Mr Paravicini and Alfie Richards as Detective Sergeant Trotter.

They join previously announced cast members Nicholas Bailey as Major Metcalf and Susan Penhaligon as Mrs Boyle.

The production will be directed by Hannah Chissick, who joins the tour alongside casting director Denise Silvey as The Mousetrap enters its milestone 75th anniversary year.

Since opening in 1952, The Mousetrap has captivated audiences with its blend of mystery, suspense and unexpected twists. Earlier this year, the play celebrated its 30,000th West End performance and received a Guinness World Records certificate recognising it as the longest theatrical run in history.

The story follows a shocking murder in London and seven strangers seeking refuge in a remote guesthouse. When a police detective arrives through a deadly snowstorm carrying a grave warning, suspicion begins to fall on everyone trapped inside Monkswell Manor.

As secrets emerge and tensions rise, the guests must uncover the truth before the killer strikes again.

The creative team for the tour includes lighting designer Nic Farman, casting director Denise Silvey and resident director Myles Brown. The production is produced by Brian Fenty.
