Lyric Hammersmith Theatre has unveiled production images for Dracula, now playing at the venue until 11 October 2025.
This major new adaptation of Bram Stoker’s horror classic comes from acclaimed playwright Morgan Lloyd Malcolm (Emilia, The Wasp) and director Emma Baggott (A Taste of Honey).
Inspired by gothic literature and the Grand Guignol theatrical tradition, Dracula promises a blood-soaked, fear-inducing experience that immerses audiences in a chilling tale of vampires and vengeance.
The cast includes Mei Mac as Lucy, Jack Myers as Jonathan, Umi Myers as Mina, Phoebe Naughton as Van Helsing/Ensemble, Macy Seelochan as Elise/Ensemble, and B Terry as Renfield/Ensemble. Casting is by Heather Basten CDG.
The creative team features Grace Smart (Set and Costume Design), Joshie Harriette (Lighting Design), Adam Cork (Composer and Sound Design), Chi-San Howard (Movement Direction), John Bulleid & Gareth Kalyan (Illusion Design), Bethan Clark (Fight and Intimacy Direction), Annemette Verspeak (Voice Coach), Grainne Flynn (Assistant Director), Louisa Smith (Casting Associate), and Joyce Lulendo (Casting Assistant).
Morgan Lloyd Malcolm’s previous work includes Emilia, which won three Olivier Awards, and Typical Girls, Mum, and When the Long Trick’s Over. She also co-founded Terrifying Women, a theatre company producing horror plays written by women.
“Awakened by the unimaginable horrors she’s witnessed, Mina Harker demands your attention. You’d be wise to listen close.”
“The only survivor of the tragic events chronicled in the famous letters, Mina is here to recount her version of Dracula’s journey from Transylvania to London. Alongside trusted allies, and in memory of her beloved friend Lucy, they scramble to piece together the truth of his monstrous desires. But is their performance merely a warning – or does it have the power to conjure the dead?”
