Production images released for world premiere of Sherlock Holmes at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre

New mystery by Joel Horwood plays until 6 June, starring Joshua James and Jyuddah Jaymes

Production images have been released for the world premiere of Sherlock Holmes at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre.

The new mystery by Joel Horwood is directed by Sean Holmes and runs until Saturday 6 June 2026, with press night on Wednesday 13 May at 7.45pm.

Joshua James stars as Sherlock Holmes, with Jyuddah Jaymes appearing as Watson.

       

The cast also includes Christopher Akrill, Andre Antonio, Will Brown, Paolo Guidi, Benjamin Harrold, Nadi Kemp-Sayfi, Marcia Lecky, Mervin Noronha, Yuyu Rau, Theo Reece, Rakhee Sharma, Tamara Tare and Patrick Warner.

Set in London in 1890, the story follows Holmes and Watson as a mysterious woman and a dangerous jewel arrive at 221B Baker Street.

Review: Sherlock Holmes at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre

As the chase unfolds and lives are placed at risk, the pair must uncover the mastermind behind a deadly conspiracy.

The creative team features Grace Smart as set and co-costume designer alongside Lisa Aitken, with music by composer Jherek Bischoff.

Lighting design is by Ryan Day, sound design by Elena Peña, movement direction by Charlotte Broom and fight direction by Enric Ortuno.

Casting is by Stuart Burt CDG, CSA with Peter Noden as casting associate, and intimacy support is provided by Ingrid Mackinnon.

       

Sherlock Holmes is produced by Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre and is supported by Cockayne Grants for the Arts.
