The Grange Festival has unveiled the full cast for its genre-blending concert events Queen at the Opera and Bernstein on Broadway, part of its record-breaking 2025 season.
Running from 4 June to 6 July, The Grange Festival 2025 is already the best-selling season in the Festival’s history under new Chief Executive Tyler Stoops.
Queen at the Opera will be performed on 5, 8, and 19 June, marking 50 years since Queen’s iconic album A Night at the Opera introduced the world to Bohemian Rhapsody.
The concert features West End stars Jon Boydon (Heathers the Musical, Mamma Mia!), Peter Eldridge, Jenna Lee-James (Frozen), and Rachael Wooding (We Will Rock You, Standing at the Sky’s Edge).
They are joined by opera talents Jordan Pitts (also known for drag persona Creatine Price), Nikola Printz, and Ann Toomey.
The BBC Concert Orchestra will be conducted by Edwin Outwater (5, 8 June) and Pete Harrison (19 June).
Bernstein on Broadway, taking place on 26 and 29 June, celebrates the legendary composer’s theatrical works including West Side Story, Candide, On the Town, and Wonderful Town.
The cast includes Julian Ovenden (South Pacific), Elèna Gyasi (Mean Girls, Six), Gabriela Garcia (In the Heights, Rent), and Lewis Francis (Miss Saigon, Mamma Mia!).
They are joined by opera stars Claudia Boyle and Trystan Llŷr Griffiths, with the Welsh National Opera Orchestra and The Grange Festival Chorus conducted by Grammy Award-winner Karen Kamensek.
“This truly is a landmark programme with varied repertoire, diverse creative voices, and leading global talents,” said Chief Executive Tyler Stoops. “I couldn’t be more proud of how the team has come together to engineer this Festival to delight both those who already know and love The Grange Festival and those who haven’t experienced it before.”
The 2025 Festival also includes new productions of La Traviata, Les Indes Galantes, and Die Fledermaus, alongside concerts and a sold-out dance double bill from Ballet Black.
