A new one-man musical, Ready To Wear, will receive its first public presentation at The Other Palace on Wednesday 15 October at 1.30pm.

Written by Rachel Garnet (Star Crossed, The Standard Short Long Drop), Ready To Wear follows legendary fashion designer Yves Saint-Laurent as he opens his eponymous fashion house.

Set over one intimate day, the musical captures Yves in real time as he creates the first piece of his revolutionary ready-to-wear line.

Having been fired from Dior, abused in the military, and hospitalised after a suicide attempt, Yves dares to make art again.

The showcase is part of Musical Bites, a lunchtime series presented by The Other Palace and Mercury Musical Developments, featuring musicals in development.

All ticket revenue goes to the creative team, supporting the development of new British musicals.

Ready To Wear features Per Carminger (The Standard Short Long Drop) as Yves Saint-Laurent.

The creative team includes arranger Robert Russel, director Ed Blagrove, and pianist Steve Corley.

Tickets are priced at £5.
