Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre has announced a new artist development programme titled Treehouse Project, aimed at supporting five early-career theatre creatives.
Running from November 2025 to February 2026, Treehouse Project will offer selected participants space to develop their work, hold meetings, and connect with peers through discussion groups and masterclasses.
The initiative is open to directors, playwrights, dramaturgs, designers, composers, and other theatre practitioners who have led between one and four professional productions and are seeking space and mentorship to grow their practice.
Participants will also receive mentorship, access to industry professionals, and tickets to the theatre’s 2026 season.
Artistic Director Drew McOnie and Associate Artistic Director Tinuke Craig said, “This is an exciting moment for Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre as we continue to develop our artist support programmes with our first Treehouse Project. Following on from the success of Theatre Dance Lab and our Open Room observership opportunities during our 2025 Season, we are thrilled to be launching the Treehouse Project, offering much needed space for creatives to work and dream about new and existing projects as well as offer wraparound support to those on the programme. We hope that our nature-filled site in the heart of The Regent’s Park will provide inspiration to our first cohort later this year.”
Applications are now open and must be submitted by 10am on Monday 13 October 2025.
The Treehouse Project is generously supported by the Noël Coward Foundation.
