New rehearsal images have been released for Speculations, the world premiere political thriller by Torben Betts, directed by multi-award-winning theatre and film director Trevor Nunn.
The production will run at Marylebone Theatre for a strictly limited nine-week season from 30 October 2026 to 3 January 2027, with an official press night on 4 November.
Olivier Award winner Janie Dee stars as acclaimed American journalist Dorothy Kilgallen, a woman determined to uncover the truth behind three of the most controversial deaths of the 20th century: Marilyn Monroe, President John F. Kennedy and Lee Harvey Oswald.
Joining Dee are Jolyon Coy as Robert, Natalie Dunne as Norma Jean, Gloria Obianyo as Flo, Joseph Potter as Lee and Ferdy Roberts as Carlos.
Written by Torben Betts, whose previous works include Murder in the Dark, the new thriller follows Kilgallen as she pursues what could become the biggest story of her career.
Set in New York in 1965, the play sees the celebrated journalist investigating powerful figures connected to the deaths that shocked America. As she gets closer to uncovering the truth, the risks become ever greater and the threats increasingly personal.
Speculations features design by Lee Newby, lighting design by Johanna Town and sound design by Gregory Clarke.
The production is presented by Wild Yak and Marylebone Theatre and marks the latest collaboration between playwright Torben Betts and director Trevor Nunn.
