New rehearsal images have been released for the highly anticipated UK and Ireland tour of Mrs. Doubtfire, ahead of its opening performances at Birmingham Hippodrome later this month.
Following a successful run in the West End, the hit musical comedy will begin its tour on 13 August before travelling across the UK and Ireland.
Gabriel Vick reprises the role of Daniel Hillard after his acclaimed performances in London.
He is joined by Kara Lily Hayworth as Miranda Hillard, Aaliya Mai as Lydia Hillard, Ryan Pidgen as Frank Hillard, Jairus McClanahan as Andre Mayem, James Darch as Stuart Dunmire, Samuelle Durojaiye as Wanda Sellner, Carl Patrick as Mr Jolly/Judge, Kiera Haynes as Janet Lundy and Rhianne Alleyne as Flamenco Singer.
Adam Colbeck-Dunn will serve as Alternate Daniel Hillard, performing the role at selected performances.
The production also introduces Charlie Banks, Alexander Beaumont, Joshua Miles and Dexter Pulling, who will alternate as Christopher Hillard, alongside Santi Cohen, Harly Gill, Mila Isaacs and Hattie Leddington Wright, who share the role of Natalie Hillard.
Completing the company are Zac Adlam, Rhona Butler, Joshua Clayton, Abigail Eustis, Amy Louise Everett, Austin Garrett, Cruz-Troy Hunter, Nicholas Leon Jones, D’Mia Lindsay-Walker, Jordan Livesey, Michael Nelson, Lucy May Pollard, Paulo Teixeira and Natalie Thorn.
Based on the beloved film, Mrs. Doubtfire follows out-of-work actor Daniel Hillard, who creates the alter ego of Scottish nanny Euphegenia Doubtfire after losing custody of his children in a bid to remain part of their lives.
The official synopsis reads: “Out-of-work actor Daniel will do anything for his kids. After losing custody in a messy divorce, he creates the alter ego of Scottish nanny Euphegenia Doubtfire in a desperate attempt to stay in their lives. As his new character takes on a life of its own, Mrs. Doubtfire teaches Daniel more than he bargained for about how to be a father.”
Featuring original music and lyrics by Wayne Kirkpatrick and Karey Kirkpatrick, a book by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell, the musical is directed by four-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks with choreography by Lorin Latarro.
Produced by Kevin McCollum and Jamie Wilson, the production is presented by special arrangement with Buena Vista Theatrical.
