London Theatre Company has released rehearsal images for The Oresteia, a new adaptation written and directed by Simon Stone after Aeschylus and others, ahead of its summer run at the Bridge Theatre.

The production begins previews on 2 July, with an official opening night on 14 July, and will run for 11 weeks until 19 September.

Mary-Louise Parker stars as Montie, alongside David Morrissey as Christopher, Tom Glynn-Carney as Augie, and Rosie Sheehy as Alice.

They are joined by Lloyd Hutchinson, John Macmillan, Archie Madekwe, Alyth Ross and Rakhee Thakrar, with SeƔn Donegan, George Renshaw, Andy Umerah, Emily Waters and Kirsty Yates completing the company as understudies.

The production reimagines the ancient Greek tragedy in a modern setting, where ā€œa contemporary family wakes up in a Greek myth and can’t seem to find a way out of their hellish destiny.ā€
