Audiences can step into a world where dreams come true this September as Rope Drop: The Unofficial Disney Parks Comedy arrives at The Other Palace for a limited run from 5 to 6 September 2026.
The new comedy celebrates Disney theme parks, friendship and fandom through sketches, live music and special guest performances. Following Jordan and Ayesha through their “perfect day” at the Disney Parks, from rope drop to fireworks, the show promises an evening filled with laughter, nostalgia and heart.
Written and performed by Jordan Li-Smith and Ayesha Patel, the production is a newly expanded version of the show following its earlier appearance at The Crazy Coqs.
Jordan Li-Smith and Ayesha Patel said: “Rope Drop is our love letter to the Disney Parks, friendship, and the part of ourselves that still believes in magic. We’re so excited to be bringing this newly expanded version of the show to The Other Palace Studio after an unforgettable night at The Crazy Coqs earlier this year. And yes, we fully encourage audience members to bring their Disney ears and Disneybound outfits!”
Each performance will feature two special guests bringing their own musical talents and love of Disney to the stage. Lewis Brown Bear and Charlotte Yorke will appear on Saturday 5 September at 8pm.
Joaquin Pedro Valdes and Melissa Cavanagh will join the line-up on Sunday 6 September at 1.30pm.
Henry Calvert and Esme Bowdler will appear at the final performance on Sunday 6 September at 6.30pm.
Directed by Tara Noonan, the production also features a live band, with Jordan Li-Smith serving as arranger and orchestrator alongside drummer Simon Spies, guitarist Maddy Salter and bassist Dave Rice. Dramaturgy is by Dean Johnson.
Described as “the happiest comedy on Earth”, Rope Drop: The Unofficial Disney Parks Comedy promises a nostalgic and heartfelt celebration of community, fandom and enduring friendship.
