A new thriller, The Other Side of Murder, will tour the UK from autumn 2026, starring Rufus Hound and Susie Blake.

The production comes from the team behind Torben Betts’ previous hits Murder at Midnight and Murder in the Dark, and is presented by Original Theatre in association with Theatr Clwyd.

Hound, whose stage credits include One Man, Two Guvnors, will be joined by Blake, known for her work with Victoria Wood and Coronation Street.

The play follows TV medium Darius Divine as a seemingly simple family dinner spirals into chaos, with unexpected guests, ghostly encounters and long-buried secrets coming to the surface.

As tensions rise and reality begins to blur, the story promises a mix of comedy, shocks and unexpected twists.

Described as funny, unsettling and surprising, the production aims to deliver a fast-paced theatrical experience that keeps audiences guessing throughout.

The creative team includes writer Torben Betts and director Philip Franks, alongside designer Colin Falconer, lighting designer Jason Taylor and sound designer and composer Max Pappenheim.

The tour will open at Theatr Clwyd in Mold from 4 to 12 September 2026, before visiting venues including Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford, New Theatre Cardiff and Devonshire Park Theatre in Eastbourne.

Further stops include the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin, Churchill Theatre in Bromley, Palace Theatre Southend and Mayflower Studios in Southampton, with additional dates to be announced.
