ROYO, Gold Sky and Midnight Theatricals have announced that Oscar at the Crown will extend its London run at The Crown on Tottenham Court Road until 30 October 2025, due to phenomenal demand.
The extension coincides with the UK musical debut of RuPaul’s Drag Race star Jan Sport, who will take on the role of Oscar Wilde from 12 September 2025.
Oscar at the Crown is a high-energy theatrical dance party set in a secret bunker in an Orwellian future, where reality TV, glitter balls, and the complete works of Oscar Wilde are all that remain.
Jan Sport, known for The Voice, America’s Got Talent, and RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, said:
“This has been a LONG time coming! I have been part of the Oscar at the Crown family since its conception in Boston in 2015, so when I got the call to come to London I couldn’t have said yes fast enough.
To be able to return to this amazing show that my brilliant friends have created a decade later in my favorite city in the world feels like the best way to make my U.K. theatre debut.
Oscar is the most fun you can legally have in a theatre, and the cast I’m joining are off the charts talented.
The venue that has been created specifically for the show in the middle of London sets the tone for an incredible piece of theatre and an unforgettable night out – so see you all at the bar for a drink, and see you at the show for a PARTY. LONDON!”
Joining Jan Sport are Kelis Alleyne as Erika, Elizabeth Chalmers as Constance, Ella Daini as Exile, Estelle Denison-French as Swing, Luke Farrugia as Sonja, Zak Marx as Bosie, Ran Marner as Exile/Dance Captain & Swing, Elinor Morris as Ramona, Isidro Ridout as Exile, Zofia Weretka as Vicki, and Natalie Yin as Exile.
The production is created by The Neon Coven, with concept and book by Mark Mauriello, music, lyrics and choreography by Andrew Barret Cox, and direction by Shira Milikowsky.
The venue is a purpose-built subterranean space developed by Path Entertainment Group and ROYO, producers of Here & Now – The Steps Musical, 13 Going on 30 The Musical, and Kinky Boots.
Gold Sky is a creative partnership between Tony-winning producer Rebecca Gold and director Shira Milikowsky. Midnight Theatricals, known for Afterglow, Scarlett Dreams, and Fat Ham, joins as co-producer.
