Sadler’s Wells has announced a vibrant festive season across its venues and digital platform, featuring returning favourites and a bold new production.

At Sadler’s Wells East, Ebony Scrooge offers a fresh hip hop reimagining of A Christmas Carol. Running from 26 November 2025 to 4 January 2026, this family-friendly dance theatre show is choreographed by Olivier Award-winner Dannielle ‘Rhimes’ Lecointe and features original music by Michael ‘Mikey J’ Asante MBE.

The story follows Ebony, a formidable fashion designer who cancels Christmas to focus on her landmark fashion show. As she is visited by the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future, Ebony reconnects with her Caribbean heritage and discovers the true meaning of happiness.

This marks the first Christmas production at Sadler’s Wells East, rounding off a successful inaugural year for the venue.

At the Peacock Theatre, The Snowman celebrates its 28th year from 22 November 2025 to 4 January 2026. Adapted from Raymond Briggs’ beloved picture book and the animated film, the production features Howard Blake’s iconic score, including ‘Walking in the Air’, performed by a live orchestra. Teddy Holton-Frances reprises his role as The Boy, following his appearance in the BBC documentary The Snowman and Me.

Matthew Bourne’s The Red Shoes returns to Sadler’s Wells Theatre from 2 December 2025 to 18 January 2026. This double Olivier Award-winning production, based on the Powell and Pressburger film, is set to music by Bernard Herrmann and features designs by Lez Brotherston, lighting by Paule Constable and sound by Paul Groothuis.

On Sadler’s Wells Digital Stage, Ballo Arthur Pita’s The Little Match Girl is available as a high-quality film for schools until 31 January 2026. Teachers can register for free access, which includes accompanying resources tailored for Key Stage One and Two.
