Exploring Gothic notions of performance, Sententia revisits the histories and myths of The Murder Castle, a true crime tale that has been sensationalised by the media for decades. Audiences are invited into a therapy session, assessing the accountability and consequence behind America’s first known serial killer, H. H. Holmes.
Dramatizing this historical period tragedy with contemporary practices, Implicato Theatre devise a 60-minute performance that critically observes the case through Holmes’ confessions. Staged at the Lincoln Arts Centre on Thursday 22nd May 2025, tickets are priced at £5, and an audience age of 15+ is recommended due to adult themes, violence, abuse and strong language.
