Baby Wants Candy’s hit improvised musical comedy Shamilton! will make its debut at The Other Palace this September, bringing its unique blend of hip hop, musical theatre and comedy to London audiences for a strictly limited run.
Created in Los Angeles in 2016, Shamilton! has become an international sensation, playing to sold-out audiences around the world and earning acclaim for its completely improvised performances. The production enjoyed sold-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
Inspired by the global phenomenon that transformed musical theatre, Shamilton! turns the historical musical genre on its head. Each performance sees the cast create an entirely original musical based on a historical figure or celebrity chosen by the audience.
With every song, scene, lyric and dance number invented on the spot, no two performances are ever the same.
The show is performed by the renowned improvisers of Baby Wants Candy, one of the world’s most celebrated comedy ensembles. Combining powerhouse vocals, quick-fire comedy and spontaneous storytelling, the company has performed more than 3,000 improvised musicals across the globe.
Casting includes Adam Payne, Allen Lucas, Anna Bortnik, Chris Grace, Daniel Tepper, Lily Ludwig and Will Naameh, with Adrien Pellerin serving as musical director. Baby Wants Candy’s producer is Al Samuels.
Over the years, Baby Wants Candy has helped launch the careers of numerous comedy stars, with alumni including Aidy Bryant, Jack McBrayer, Thomas Middleditch, Jessica McKenna and Nicole Parker.
The production runs at The Other Palace from 8 to 20 September 2026, with performances Tuesday to Saturday evenings, Saturday matinees and Sunday afternoon and evening performances.
