Sheridan The Album

Sheridan The Album

One of the nation’s most beloved stars of stage and screen, Sheridan Smith will further explore her remarkable vocal gift when she releases her debut album ‘Sheridan: The Album’ on November 3rd.

Released via Warner Music Group label East West Records, the album is now available to pre-order here. Fans who pre-order the album will receive an instant download of the song ‘Anyone Who Had A Heart’.

Sheridan recently provided a stunning taster of what’s to come with a triumphant performance of ‘My Man’ on Strictly Come Dancing.

“It’s been an amazing experience to be able to record an album of my favourite songs,” says Sheridan. “It was always a dream of mine to release my own album so I can’t wait for you all to hear it soon.”

The album features Sheridan’s interpretation of a wide range of timeless classics which are the perfect match for her soaring voice. At the heart of this eclectic collection are a number of standout tracks from family favourite musicals, such as ‘City of Stars’ from ‘La La Land’, a confessional take ‘And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going’ from ‘Dreamgirls’ and ‘For Forever’ from the contemporary Broadway smash ‘Dear Evan Hansen’.

There are also two songs which reflect key roles from Sheridan’s acting career. She previously performed Cilla Black’s ‘Anyone Who Had A Heart’ in the 2014 mini-series ‘Cilla’, which earned her a National Television Award for Best Drama Performance. ‘My Man’ was Fanny Brice’s signature song and featured in the 1968 film based on her life. However, it wasn’t included in either the original 1964 Broadway production or the sold-out 2017 version.
