Producers Michael Harrison and David Ian have announced the return of the award-winning smash hit musical The Bodyguard, which will tour the UK and Europe from September 2025.

International musical theatre star Sidonie Smith will lead the cast as Rachel Marron, a role she previously played to critical acclaim in Stuttgart, Germany.

Joining her is Olivier Award nominee Adam Garcia as Frank Farmer. Garcia recently starred as Caractacus Potts in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and is known for his roles in Saturday Night Fever, Kiss Me, Kate, and Wicked.

Sasha Monique will play Nicki Marron, following her recent appearance in the UK tour of Hairspray, while Matt Milburn, known for Coronation Street and Hollyoaks, will take on the role of Sy Spector.

At select performances, the role of Rachel Marron will be played by Mireia Mambo, whose credits include A Chorus Line, Sunset Boulevard, and Newsies.

Adam Garcia’s film credits include Death on the Nile, Murder on the Orient Express, Coyote Ugly, and Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. He was also a finalist on The Masked Dancer UK.

The Bodyguard tells the story of former Secret Service agent Frank Farmer, hired to protect superstar Rachel Marron from an unknown stalker. What begins as a professional relationship soon turns into something deeper.

The musical features iconic songs including Queen of the Night, So Emotional, One Moment in Time, Saving All My Love, Run to You, I Have Nothing, I Wanna Dance with Somebody, and I Will Always Love You.

Based on Lawrence Kasdan’s 1992 Oscar-nominated film starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner, The Bodyguard is directed by Thea Sharrock with a book by Oscar-winner Alex Dinelaris.

The show premiered at London’s Adelphi Theatre and has since toured the UK, Ireland, and internationally, playing to over 3.9 million people in 15 countries and 45 US cities.
