Casting has been revealed for the UK and Ireland tour of the acclaimed Chichester Festival Theatre, Stage Entertainment and Sheffield Theatres production of Singin’ in the Rain.
The smash-hit musical will open at Churchill Theatre, Bromley from 28 January 2027, before touring the UK and Ireland, including a major summer season at Sadler’s Wells in London from 2 June to 3 July 2027. The tour follows a Christmas season at Sheffield Theatres’ Crucible Theatre from 26 November 2026 to 16 January 2027.
Natalie Anderson and Karen Hauer will share the role of silent movie star Lina Lamont, alongside Grant Almirall as Don Lockwood, Nicole-Lily Baisden as Kathy Seldon, Matthew Maddison as Cosmo Brown and Wendi Peters as Dora Bailey.
Peters is currently scheduled to appear as Dora Bailey until 3 July 2027, with further casting for the role on later tour dates to be announced.
The ensemble company includes Charlie Bishop, Grace Chan, Ross Chisari, Stan Doughty, Barry Drummond, William Elijah-Lewis, Maria Garrett, Alyn Hawke, Megan Jade-Johnson, Ellis Linford-Pill, Jeremy Lloyd, Brontë Macmillan, Chloe Malek, Greta McKinnon, Melissa Mese, Ben Middleton, Grace May Parry, Roan Pronk, Elly Shaw, Jack Skelton and Catrin Thomas.
Based on the classic Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film, Singin’ in the Rain transports audiences to Hollywood during the transition from silent movies to talking pictures.
Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont appear to be the perfect silver screen couple, but when the arrival of “talkies” threatens their careers, aspiring actress Kathy Seldon becomes central to saving the studio’s latest production.
The stage adaptation features beloved songs including “Good Morning”, “Make ’em Laugh” and the title number “Singin’ in the Rain”, alongside high-energy choreography and a production famous for using more than 14,000 litres of water on stage.
The production is directed by Jonathan Church, with choreography by Andrew Wright, additional choreography by Jayne Elster, set and costume design by Simon Higlett, lighting design by Tim Mitchell, sound design by Gareth Owen, video design by Ian Galloway and musical supervision by Robert Scott.
