After a critically acclaimed run at Upstairs at the Gatehouse, Sirens of the Silver Screen now transfers to the Tabard Theatre this summer.
Judy, Audrey and Marilyn – this sisterhood of stunning starlets lit up the silver screen for decades and kept tongues wagging with their scandalous off-screen antics. Prepare to be transported to a world of Old Hollywood glamour, where fame, fate and misfortune collide in glitz, glamour and grim truths.
These femme fatales live again as Beth Burrows takes on each infamous woman, performing their most loved songs and shedding light on the shadowy secrets that stalked their careers. Beth performs in and created Sirens of the Silver Screen. She studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and has performed the show to critical acclaim in Dubai and across the Emirates. She recently starred in The Lady With a Dog, which played at the White Bear and Tabard Theatres.
Director and producer Mark Giesser has written, directed and produced extensively in both Off-Broadway and London Fringe venues. Recent productions include his adaptation of Chekhov’s The Lady With a Dog, the UK premiere of Alan Alda’s Radiance: The Passion of Marie Curie, and the 60th anniversary UK revival of the stage play of Gigi.
Sirens of the Silver Screen is at The Tabard Theatre 26th June – 14th July 2018.
