Michael Harrison for Lloyd Webber Harrison Musicals has announced further casting for this year’s Palladium run of Jesus Christ Superstar.

The six performers will alternate in the role of King Herod across the season.
Jesse Tyler Ferguson will appear from 20 June to 11 July.
Simon Russell Beale will perform from 13 to 25 July.
Richard Armitage takes over from 27 July to 1 August.
Boy George performs from 3 to 15 August, though he will not appear on Saturday 8 August.
Layton Williams features from 17 to 29 August.
Julian Clary completes the run from 31 August to 5 September.

They join the previously announced Sam Ryder, who stars as Jesus.

Director Tim Sheader said: “All different but all fabulous, we are thrilled that these six artists will take a turn demanding Jesus walk across their swimming pool as the infamously camp but lethal King Herod. Choose to see any one of them and we promise, for a golden moment, they will stop this juggernaut of a show in its glitter filled tracks.”

The production runs from Saturday 20 June to Saturday 5 September 2026, with press night on Tuesday 7 July.
