Improvised comedy troupe Insert Laughter Here are bringing their legendary, chaotic and completely improvised show, Spin-a-Play, to London this August as part of Camden Fringe 2025.
The long-form improv format will play two dates: Friday 1 August at The Hen & Chickens Theatre, and Saturday 16 August at the Museum of Comedy.
In Spin-a-Play, audience members suggest genres for a “brand new” play, which are then added to a spinning wheel to determine the evening’s performance. The audience also helps shape the story, deciding how it begins, what twists it takes, and even how it ends.
Western? Sci-Fi? Rom Com? Or all three at once? The possibilities are endless when the audience holds the power of choice.
Insert Laughter Here previously performed at Camden Fringe in 2023, creating original plays such as ‘Scandal in a Carriage’ and ‘Spin City’. Other past creations include ‘Five Go Wild in the Morgue’, ‘Cats in Space!’, and ‘The Case of the Missing Policeman’s Truncheon’.
Creator, director and producer Aaron Weight said:
“We had a smashing time with our Spin-a-Play shows at Brighton Fringe recently. The audiences had some delightfully unhinged and very unusual suggestions, which was great fun! Plus, I was honoured to be shortlisted for the Spirit of the Fringe Award. We are all very excited to bring the show to London this summer and to be part of the Camden Fringe line-up.”
The cast for the London performances includes Chris Adlem, Jen Anderson, Joseph Betts, Adrian Kidd, Jordan Peck, Nicholas Potts, Nick Reynolds and Mark Taylor.
