Stephen Crocker has been appointed Global Executive Producer for The Mousetrap, as the iconic Agatha Christie play prepares to enter its landmark 75th year.
The appointment, announced by owner and producer Brian Fenty, comes ahead of the show’s 75th anniversary in 2027 and plans for a debut North American production.
Crocker will oversee the production’s global growth strategy, including partnerships, audience development and international opportunities across touring, licensing and live entertainment.
Brian Fenty said: “Stephen is one of the most respected and forward-thinking executives in the theatre industry. He brings an extraordinary combination of creative instinct, commercial intelligence, and global audience expertise. As we look toward the next chapter for The Mousetrap in its 75th year and beyond, I can think of nobody better to help lead its international evolution while protecting the legacy that has made it such a cultural institution.”
Crocker has more than 25 years’ experience in theatre and marketing, having worked on major productions including The Lion King and ABBA Voyage, and previously collaborated with Fenty at TodayTix Group.
Stephen Crocker said: “The Mousetrap is not simply an iconic play — it is one of the great global entertainment brands. To join Brian and the team at this pivotal moment is an extraordinary privilege. There remains an enormous opportunity to introduce new audiences around the world to Agatha Christie’s masterpiece, preserving the unique theatrical experience that has captivated audiences for more than seven decades and elevating the hospitality and mystery of the brand.”
First performed in London in 1952, The Mousetrap remains the longest-running play in theatre history, with more than 30,000 performances at St Martin’s Theatre in the West End.
Under Fenty’s ownership, the production has entered a new phase of development, with a focus on international expansion and new audience engagement.
