Scarborough’s Stephen Joseph Theatre (SJT) has added a brand-new play, These Majestic Creatures, and two visiting productions, SWIM and the Nashville Bad Boys of Country, to its programme for 2023.

These Majestic Creatures, written by up-and-coming playwright Emma Geraghty, is directed by Kass Arshad and will be presented from 20 October to 4 November in the theatre’s McCarthy auditorium. The play explores the Vaughan family’s relationships through time and includes elements of drama, humour, and heartwarming moments.

SWIM, a show about outdoor swimming and community, will be performed on 23 June and is written and performed by Liz Richardson. The Nashville Bad Boys of Country will take the stage on 16 June and will perform the hits of iconic country music artists such as Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton.

SJT’s Artistic Director Paul Robinson says, “These Majestic Creatures is a must-see play.”

Tickets, starting at £10, are available from the box office and online at sjt.uk.com. Priority booking for SJT’s Circle members opens on 1 February and general booking opens on 8 February.
