National Theatre Live today announces the world premiere stage adaptation of Stanley Kubrick’s comedy masterpiece Dr. Strangelove will be released to cinemas next year. This explosively funny adaptation will hit the silver screen worldwide from 27 March 2025, following its hugely successful run on London’s West End.

Seven-time BAFTA Award-winner Steve Coogan takes on a ‘tour de (armed) force’ (★★★★ Daily Mail) performance, playing four roles in this theatrical reimagining. This explosively funny satire, about a rogue U.S General who triggers a nuclear attack, is led by a world-renowned creative team including Emmy Award-winner Armando Iannucci and Olivier Award-winner Sean Foley.

Filmed live from the Noël Coward Theatre where the show is running until 25 January 2025, Dr. Strangelove will be released exclusively in cinemas and audiences can find their nearest screening at drstrangelove.ntlive.com.
